Woodtemple est un groupe de Metal Folk autrichien fondé par Aramath en 1998.

Biographie

Woodtemple est un groupe proche de Graveland et de Falkenbach, dont il revendique l'influence, ainsi que de groupes comme Nokturnal Mortum, Skyforger, Summoning ou Rivendell.

En 1998, Aramath (Guitares, vocaux, keyboards) fonde Woodtemple.Les thèmes qu'il illustre musicalement sont l'anti-christianisme, les ténèbres, le paganisme.

La première et unique démo Swords of Hate sort en 1999, elle sera ré-enregistrée en 2000 car Aramath n'est pas satisfait du son. On peut considérer qu'il s'agit de Black Metal, tandis que des éléments plus épiques annoncent déjà la voie qu'empruntera le groupe par la suite, c'est à dire une accentuation de l'aspect "folk".

2002 : Woodtemple sort son premier album Feel The Anger Of The Wind sur le label allemand No Colours Records.

Toujours chez No Colours, deux autres albums et un EP suivront en 2004,2005, et 2006.

2007 : Aramath annonce un nouvel album, à paraître sur le label autrichien Folk Produktion, intitulé "Sorrow Of The Wind".
