Sepultura est un groupe de Thrash Metal brésilien aux influences Hardcore, fondé en 1983 à Belo Horizonte (Etat brésilien du Minas Gerais)

Rendu célèbre par un son très agressif proche du Punk Hardcore et des paroles toujours très engagées, le groupe brésilien a atteint l'âge d'or de sa carrière dans les années 1990, sous la houlette de son ancien chanteur, Max Cavalera. Depuis le départ de ce dernier en 1996, parti créer Soulfly, le groupe souffre d'un cruel déclin de sa notoriété, malgré de bons albums ...
