Malgré le fait que le line-up soit là, M. Jon Oliva a enregistré tous les
instruments exceptés quelques soli qui ont en fait été joués par Alex Skolnick,
même si Jon n'était dans le groupe à cette époque. Cette volonté de tout enregistrer
par Jon vient du fait que son frère Criss est décédé un an plus tôt à l'âge de 30 ans
fauché par conducteur ivre (R.I.P.)... Cet album est le premier depuis la mort de Criss,
c'est donc pour rendre hommage à son regretté frère que Jon a tenu à tout enregistrer
lui-même (sauf le chant).
