Rush est un trio de hard rock et progressive rock canadien de renommée mondiale, formé en 1968, et composé actuellement de Geddy Lee (voix, synthétiseur et basse), Alex Lifeson (guitare) et Neil Peart (batterie). Rush eut un premier batteur: John Rutsey (décédé le 11 mai 2008), qui quitta le groupe en 1974, au cours de la tournée qui suivit la sortie de l'album Rush. Il fut remplacé par Neil Peart.

Figurant parmi les groupes de rock les plus méconnus en France, ils ont obtenu 23 disques d'or et 14 disques de platine durant leur carrière. Leur style n'a jamais eu de forme définitive : le groupe a traversé les décennies 1970, 1980, 1990 et 2000 en évoluant et explorant les harmonies musicales tant techniquement qu'artistiquement. Néanmoins, c'est surtout avec Led Zeppelin que Rush a le plus de similarités, tant au niveau musical que vocal.
