Rhapsody of Fire est un groupe de métal italien, créé au cours des années 90 sous le nom Thundercross avant de devenir Rhapsody pendant une dizaine d’années puis aujourd’hui Rhapsody of Fire, changement de nom intervenu le 14 juillet 2006 pour des problèmes liés au copyright.
Rhapsody of Fire pratique un metal que l'on peut qualifier comme un mélange de Power Metal épique et de Metal Symphonique qui se complaît à définir son style comme de l’"Hollywood Metal" voire même actuellement comme du "Film Score Metal", sa musique étant emprunte de musique classique et d'orchestrations grandiloquentes pouvant évoquer parfois une bande originale de film.

Biographie
Le 6 juillet 2007 verra la sortie du tout premier DVD de Rhapsody Of Fire. Il retracera la production et les tournées des albums "SOEL2" et "Triumph or Agony". Ce double DVD contiendra les enregistrements de la tournée aux Etats-Unis et au Canada, ainsi que leur performance au Earthshaker 2005.
