Kreator is one of the first German Thrash Metal bands along with Sodom and Destruction.

Biography

Kreator were formed in 1982 under the name Tyrant and renamed themselves into Tormentor in 1983. Under the name Tormentor they released two demos ("Blitzkrieg" in 1983 and "End Of The World" in 1984), which cleared the way to sign a record deal with Noise Records.
