Hate Eternal est un groupe américain de Death Metal fondé en 1997 à Tampa (Floride), par Erik Rutan, ex-membre de Morbid Angel.

Biographie
L'histoire de Hate Eternal commence en 1997. Le groupe est alors composé d'Erik Rutan, Doug Cerrito, Jared Anderson et Tim Yeung. Ils enregistrent leur premier album Conquering The Throne en 1999. En 2002, Tim Yeung est remplacé par Derek Roddy et le groupe enregistre son deuxiéme album : King Of All Kings sans la présence de Doug Cerrito. Erik Rutan quitte alors Morbid Angel l'été même pour consacrer plus de temps à Hate Eternal. Le groupe tourne alors pour assurer la promotion de l'album. Jared Anderson quitte alors le groupe pour cause de problèmes de drogue et est remplacé par un ami de Derek Roddy : Randy Piro. Le groupe commence à enregistrer le succeseur de King Of All Kings à l'automne 2004 et le sort en juin 2005. I, Monarch montre un groupe trés inventif tout en restant extrême. Le groupe tourne au USA pendant l'été 2005 mais annule sa tournée européenne annoncée pour l'automne. Fin Mars 2006, Derek Roddy annonce qu'il quitte le groupe pour diverses raisons. Erik Rutan et Randy Piro recrutent alors le batteur Kevin Talley pour les concerts américain et Reno Killerich pour ceux d'europe. Le 26 juillet 2007, le groupe annonce Jade Simonetto comme batteur permanent. Le groupe sort, en Janvier 2008, l'album Fury And Flames (Avec Alex Webster à la basse).
