Forbidden est un groupe américain de Thrash Metal originaire de Hayward en Californie. Formé en 1987, il est issu de la "Bay Area" de San Francisco qui a vu naître à cette époque de nombreux groupes de Thrash.

Biographie

Le groupe s'appelait initialement "Forbidden Evil", mais il a changé de nom en 1987, afin d'éviter d'être assimilé à un groupe de Black Metal.

Forbidden s'est reformé en 2007/2008 pour donner quelques concerts en Europe et aux Etats-Unis, en raison de l'intérêt encore porté au groupe par ses fans.

Le groupe s'est notamment produit en France en Juin 2008 à l'occasion du Hellfest à Clisson.
