Biographie

Carcass est un groupe de Death Metal originaire de Liverpool. Formé en 1985 par Jeff Walker et Billy Steer (ex Napalm Death) respectivement bassiste et guitariste. Ils trouvent en la personne de Ken Owen le batteur adéquat et c'est un dénommé Sanjiv qui prend le micro. Ce dernier décida de quitter le groupe avant le premier album mais les 2 démos Flesh Ripping Sonic Torment (87) et Symphonies Of Sickness (88) témoignent de son passage dans le groupe. Michael Amott (Arch Enemy) fut guitariste sur les albums Necrotism et Heartwork. Il gardera l'esprit du groupe chez Arch Enemy.
