Antaeus est un groupe de Black Metal né en 1994 en Région Parisienne.

Biographie

Antaeus est l'un des groupes de Black Metal les plus reconnus de la scène française.

Il est resté fidéle à la brutalité et l'extrêmisme de son style d'origine tout en évoluant constamment vers davantage de perfectionnisme.
En 2002, Antaeus signe un contrat avec le label français Osmose Productions, qui produit l'album "De Principii Evangelikum".

Deux ans plus tard, Osmose réédite en format digipack "Cut Your Flesh And Worship Satan", précédemment sorti chez Baphomet Records.

L'année 2006 voit la sortie de l'album 'Blood Libels' sur le label français Norma Evangelium Diaboli.

Après une tournée avec les allemands de Secrets Of The Moon en 2006, Mkm a déclaré qu'Antaeus ne se produirait plus sur scène désormais, mais qu'il poursuivrait cependant son activité musicale.

En 2007, le label français Battlesk'rs Productions réédite sur CD des enregistrements rares précédemment sortis sur des supports en version limitée, sous forme d'un split avec Aosoth, autre projet musical des membres d'Antaeus.
